Men and Women’s gymnastics are very different at higher levels, however, in the early stages the fundamentals of flexibility, strength, and basic skills are quite similar.
Coach Jared teaches both girls and boys which makes the logistics of separating them difficult. Teaching them together provides a place to practice their social skills, and it opens up more opportunities to take multiple classes a week if desired.
Both boys and girls will train together on the events that overlap, such as floor and vault, and they will split into separate groups for their other events.
No. Classes are divided by skill level and not by age, however, we do our best to organize the classes with kids in the same age range.
Although we don't divide classes by age, if your kid is starting without any prior experience we will put ages 6-10 at level 1, and 11-14 at level 2. Generally older kids have higher neuromuscular development that will naturally allow them to start at a higher level in gymnastics. This is also to help kids start in classes with their peers.

No jeans, midriffs, skirts/dresses, button-ups/collard shirts. If your athlete is wearing a watch, hat, or jewelry they will be asked to put them with their shoes before joining the class.
